Zoe's new hairdo

For my bday Zoe decided to cut her hair all off one side.. She also gave multiple barbies and polly pockets haircut too. I am still finding piles of hair in her room and it has been a week. This is one corner of her room, she also had hair in the bathroom and Taylor's room. Did I mention she was already on scissor restriction for cutting a hole in her jeans??

This picture doesn't begin to show how much she cut off.

Her new haircut.. The hairdresser gave her bangs and thinned out the right side. She had already thinned out the left side herself.. haha

Easter

The girls were up and excited that the easter bunny found them at Heather and Jay's house. They also got to dye eggs with Kara on easter eve...

Easter

This year for easter we had a slight change in plans. My grandma in wva was sick and we needed to go see her. Even though we went up there for a sad reason, we actually had a good time. We visited grandma but stayed at my aunt heather's house. it was just like easter at home. we dyed eggs, the easter bunny came and we went to church.. The bonus was getting to see all our family in Hagerstown. We don't ever get to come for easter. It was a great time and great food. It was nice spending time with my dad's family while seeing my grandma. The girls were spoiled this year because they had an easter egg hunt there too (thanks cindy and nick!). Unfortunately my grandma died the next week. I am so thankful we came to see her one last time and had quality time with her before she passed.

Camping

Over spring break we went camping with Tammy, Jeanette, Carmen and Rebecca. We had a great time (minus the ticks). The girls got to spend some quality time together, dye easter eggs and we went on paddle boat and canoe rides. They also had an easter egg hunt... thanks GG for all the eggs.

Zoe's class coming out to the field for the hunt. She is the last student. Zoe on the hunt... this is very serious.

Zoes collection of eggs she found :-)

Soccer girls

The first game of the year... Zoe did well, she just didn't really know what to do so she kinda just stood there.. hehe.
Taylor did good... she was just getting sick, so i was a little worried, but she didn't stop running.

Getting ready for their first game.. taylor is 14 for tony stewart and zoe is 48 for jimmy johnson ;-)

Finally some snow!

Well the girls got their day in the snow.. it only lasted one day so it was perfect. The only complaint was that we couldn't build a snowman. Zoe kept getting soaked.. i had to change her hat like 4 times and scarf like 3.. she wouldn't stop rolling on the ground.

Daisy's makeover

Zoe came home from school the other day and wanted to give Daisy a makeover... she had it all planned and when that child gets something in her mind it is hard to change it. First we painted daisy's nails then she put her headband on.. then she had a purse around her neck, then a massage and finally a kiss for being so good. Daisy hardly moved the whole time.. i think she is the best and most patient dog in the world.

Taylor's wax museum at school

Taylor was Juan Ponce de Leon for the wax museum at school... she did very well telling all her info to the class

Jason's Bday

Jason turned the big 39 this year... it was so nice out that we had a last minute cookout instead of going to a restaurant... so nice and we made a fire and had smores to top off the evening!

Halloween

My little devil and genie. Aren't they cute. Uncle Brian handing out candy at grandma's.
We went to Merilyn's to see Lilly. What a cutie... piglet. Taylor and Zoe both used this costume in years past. She did not want her picture taken so I just snapped shots as they ran around outside.

Keeping up with tradition... Jake, Sheena, Lexi, Bianca and Nana came over for trick or treat. We had a great time. The girls looked great.

Last we went to mom's after trick or treating. We got to see Rileigh in her bat costume. Zoe was exhausted and Taylor went to a party with YaYa until after 11pm... party animal;)

Pumkin Carvin

Mom and Merilyn came over for pumkin carving before halloween. it was fun...Zoe drew her own design, think it is supposed to be a cat. the witch is taylor's, jason's is the rip and i did the boo one.

Zoe's halloween parade at school

Mom, Jason, Rileigh and I went to Zoe's school for a halloween parade. Usually this is outside but this year it was very cold so they had it in the chapel. While waiting for the kids Rileigh and Jason had a major breakthrough...she was not terrified of him (usually she crawls away crying when she sees him) they actually hung out and she touched him multiple times

More camping pics

People even dressed up there animals... too funny I thought this idea was funny.. it is an outhouse

Here is one of the golf carts.. people had them all done up... crome rims.. dvd players and screens that hang from the roof.. fancy paint jobs like below.. it was crazy.. man i want one.

Camping in Virginia Beach

We went camping with friends this weekend. It rained and was ugly out all weekend but the kids had a great time...Taylor and Zoe dressed up for the trick or treat at the campground. Most of the campsites were decorated. we rented a golf cart to ride around on... everyone has one, it is too funny.. then we decorated it (see below). the kids had so much fun on it.

Nicole and Dalton

Taylor, Zoe, Jordan and Bryce walking to play games... it was raining so the games were inside and crowded... they had fun though

Hunt Club Farm

Today we had a great time at the pumkin patch. The girls got to feed goats and pet lots of other animals. They went horse back riding. Taylor brought her friend Breeze.. we went on a hay ride, that's the pic of rob, dani and rileigh. And of course at the end of the day the girls got there pumpkins.

Ocean City

We went on our yearly weekend to ocean city... had fun. A little rainy but tolerable. It was warm enough for the girls to swim but the water was very rough. Rileigh had fun and the picture below of her is right after a wave came and soaked her... no worries... she just kept playing and eating the sand. Man, i love this place:)

The Today Show

The Today Show came to Williamsburg today... the girls and I got up and were there at 0600 in the morning. Sad thing is we were up front by the capital building and this man told us the crowd was down on Duke of Glouchester Street. We went there and there was a ton of people, couldn't see anything.... finally we gave up and went to the car. On the way we past the capital building again and Matt Lauer was doing the show right where we were standing in the beginning. By now there were lots of people here as well so we still couldn't see much.. boo hoo.. at least it was a little adventure and the girl had fun at there first political rally... if you can call it that;)

Andrea and Tony's Wedding

My cousin Andrea got married... here are some pics from the wedding. We had a great time. The girls danced until everyone was gone... then we cleaned up the mess. Rileigh had fun playing under the table.

Taylor' s 8th bday

I didn't realize I hadn't put pics in from Taylor's 8th bday. Like I said before I am the worst blogger. She had a good day. We had a party at justice (store for girls) for a couple of her friends. They got there hair and makeup done and had a lot of fun. Then we had a big bash at home with family. ( this is her favorite type of party, the bigger the better). Mom always gets her a bday dress ( top left). We got her a nice mountain bike and jason is going to take her on the trails. ( we will see how long that lasts after her first big fall)

Taylor's first day of school

My big girl is going in to third grade...
I can't believe it. Time just flies by. She did her own hair and wanted no help from me. Sniff Sniff
I made her blueberry muffins, Ido this every year on the first day of school. They love them. The other pics are her just posing with her new outfit (thanks nan) and her new book bag.

Jamestown

Taylor has been asking to go to jamestown for months. Finally we were able to go the other day, right before the start of school. It was nice. They had fun. Rileigh slept most of the time so i don't have any pics of her.

Hilton Head in August

Yes, I am the worst blogger in the world!!
We went to HH with mom and dad again this year. What a great week. Nice weather (only rained one day). We saw lots of alligators this year. Zoe had a great time in the sand at the beach (i can't get the sand out of her bathing suits). Taylor got Gregg Russell to sign a movie she bought ( he is this guy who sings under a tree for the kids everynight). The last day when we were getting out of the ocean Zoe got stung by a jellyfish, this is one picture. It got both legs. I never saw it but it must have been a beast because you can still see it on both legs and it has been like 3 weeks. Poor baby

Taylor's Surgery

Taylor had her tonsills out monday July 7th. She did very well. Tuesday she hurt alot, i think that was our worst day. Friday she got thrush (more medicine). She didn't eat much until the next monday. She is so skinny. Finally she is eating and feeling pretty normal. Glad that is over with. Hopefully no more strep throat ;)

Nags Head

We went on our yearly trek to Nags Head with Jason's family this year. Zoe loves the beach. Everyday she would wake up and beg to go. We went to the N.C. aquarium this year ( the last pic). It was small but nice, the girls had fun.
Merilyn bought Lilly and Rileigh a swing for our house. THANKS!! This is Rileigh's first time in it. She loved it. Oh Yeah, check out Zoe's boots. She loves them and always wears them, even after a dip in the pool.
Tony, Carol and family came to visit. We had a nice few days. Here Taylor, Zoe, Mike and Nicole are getting tan after a swim.

Puddywood

Time for our annual camping trip at Christy and Larry's, a.k.a. Puddywood. Of course we had a great time. Taylor and Zoe couldn't get enough of the 4 wheelers. Taylor actually drove it by herself (thanks tyler!) My cousin Scott will be contributing to the Burger Clan in july with a new baby girl so we had a shower for him. We were hoping for a surprise but it is hard to keep it quiet and he found out. But, let me say it is so funny giving a guy a baby shower. They are so different than girls. He was a trooper though and got lots of good stuff to help out in his adventure of fatherhood. The top pic is all the younger cousins.

Kacey and Andy

My cousin Kacey got married in Nags Head. What a beautiful week. The wedding day was wonderful. Thanks for a great time!!

Zoe hat parade

This is the hat parade at zoe's school. They sang a little song and walked around. she has one year left at dppk then off to dutrow.

Blueberry Gap Farm

it was a beautiful day out so we went to BBGF for the day. the girls had a great time. it was packed with tons of kids. They got to feed the horses and deer. I through in that peacock pic because he is so pretty

Rockets

Taylor is taking soccer this spring. Actually, since i am so slow at updating my blog, the season is almost over. She is doing good for her first time. She got hit in the face a few games ago and now is very timmid. I hope she overcomes this soon.
